NASA has recently initiated a program to evaluate the potential effects of current and future commercial aircraft fleets on atmospheric chemical processes and climate. As part of this program, we are modeling the effects of subsonic aircraft exhaust on upper tropospheric cirrus clouds. Using sophisticated computer programs, we have developed a detailed ice cloud microphysical model here at NASA Ames Research Center. The model simulates cloud processes such as ice crystal formation, growth, and transport. The formation and evolution of aircraft-generated contrails is simulated to determine what processes and environmental conditions control the growth, spreading, and dissipation of contrails. In addition, the formation of natural cirrus is simulated with and without aircraft exhaust soot particles to predict the impact of commercial air traffic on the frequency of cirrus occurrence and their impact on climate.
Recent observations of cirrus clouds have shown that clear air in the upper troposphere is often supersaturated with ice. Cirrus do not always form in these regions due to the lack of natural nuclei to provide a foundation on which ice crystals form. If aircraft exhaust soot particles are efficient ice nuclei (as shown in Fig. 1) , then the frequency of cirrus may be significantly enhanced in regions with heavy air traffic (see Fig. 2) . As a result, the aircraft exhaust may increase the frequency of cirrus occurrence and increase the number of ice crystals in cirrus. As cirrus clouds absorb infrared radiation emitted by the Earth's surface and reflect sunlight, changes in cirrus properties would produce heating of the upper troposphere and cooling at the surface. Also, precipitation of cirrus ice crystals removes upper tropospheric water vapor. Because water vapor is a very important greenhouse gas, changes in cirrus and the upper tropospheric water vapor budget due to aircraft exhaust may substantially influence climate.
Currently, the properties of soot generated by aircraft exhaust are not well understood. We do not know how effective these particles are as ice nuclei. We are using our cirrus cloud microphysical model to simulate the impact of soot particles on cirrus cloud frequency and climate for a wide range of assumptions about the soot properties. We are evaluating these effects for a range of environmental conditions, including cirrus anvils generated by strong convective storms and thin cirrus generated in fair-weather conditions. A final determination of the exhaust impact on cirrus and climate will require aircraft observations of natural and anthropogenic upper tropospheric particles, laboratory studies of ice nucleation on soot particles, and numerical modeling of the formation of cirrus altered by exhaust soot particles.

Warum nicht ??
Max-Planck-Institut: "Der stärkste Klimawandel seit Jahrmillionen" + 02.10.2005 + Den "stärksten Klimawandel seit Jahrmillionen" prognostiziert der renommierte Klimaforscher Prof. Hartmut Graßl, bis zum Frühjahr Direktor des Max-Planck-Instituts für Meteorologie (MPI-M) an der Universität Hamburg. Was mir seit langem als Fakt im Kopf blieb, seit über 10 Jahren aus einem Report des deutschen Fernsehens über Eiskernbohrungen, ist die dort berichtete Tatsache, daß falls die globale mittlere Erdtemperatur bei 15,4 Grad Celsius liegt, das Wetterverhalten unvorhersagbar chaotisch würde.
Was das für Auswirkungen hat, sozio-kulturell, ökonomisch und sonst noch mag sich jeder selbst ausmalen. Erzeugt das Angst ?
Wenn ja, bei wem ? Bei denen, die vielleicht sehr viel zu verlieren haben ?
Tatsache scheint wohl zu sein, warum nicht aus der anstehenden Not eine Tugend machen zu wollen. Also das Klima kontrollieren,
bevor es unkontrollierbar wird. Zumal es militärisch sinnvoll ist, da es scheinbare wirtschaftliche und soziale Interessen gibt und in
genau den Bereichen Sicherheit liefert, nur für wen und wie lange ?? Nun, eine Menge Gewinn kann dies ebenso auch noch abwerfen, wenn man gentechnische Patente so anmeldet, so daß Länder der dritten Welt erst gar keine andere Möglichkeit haben, als genau diese patentierten Produkte, so ganz (un)gezwungen in den kommenden Zeiten zu konsumieren.
Also ist umfassende Kontrolle, zu möglichst jeder Zeit über wen und was auch immer und per Hochtechnologie z.B. Nanotechnologie s.a. VeriChip Corp., RFID, GPS, evtl. HAARP, nicht zu vergessen den elektronischen Ausweis, sehr willkommen.
Denn, wer möchte schon gern zufällig zusammenbrechende Märkte, man denke einfach einmal an Aktienmärkte, wissentlich riskieren ? In Texas gibt es sicherlich starke Interessengruppen, die ihr Geld sehr gut in Erdölanlagen investiert haben. Abgesehen von den dann vielleicht sogar weltweit (un)kontrollierbaren Menschenmassen. Was tun ? Ganz einfach, still und heimlich ein globales System aufbauen, welches dies ermöglicht und schon ist wieder alles im grünen Bereich. Symmetrische Linien am Himmel ? Ach was, das war doch schon immer so, kann sich nur keiner recht daran erinnern. Zu viel gepulste HF nebenbei ? Immer locker, hat doch jeder, kann nicht so schlimm sein. Ich kann mich zwar ab und an nicht so recht an bestimmte Dinge erinnern, aber das ist eben das Alter. Die Sonne scheint etwas milchig, dafür haben wir
Sonnenuntergänge wie sonst nie zuvor. Farben am Himmel ergeben sich ja auch nur durch Brechung des Lichtes an bestimmten Teilchen.

vielleicht sollte man einen info work-shop über CO2 organisieren, um die wahrheit von CO2 aufzurollen.... vielleicht wird dann die luft etwas reiner und wir ersticken nicht an CO2 Leere.......ich bin kein chemiker - aber ein naturmensch - nur solange es so viele starke menschen gibt, welche sich durch die falsch ausgenützte nanotechnologie bereichern ist es ein kampf, genau dies aber darf es nicht sein..
die lösung liegt, so denke ich, in einer höheren, kräftigeren ebene...

"I missed out on the chance to be interviewed as my work here in New Orleans prevented me from contacting Heather Mcleod in the limited time frame available. She wrote me last Friday and said that CBC was doing a short segment on their Thunder Bay Ontario afternoon radio program "Voyage North", and asked me to contact her Monday before 4pm for an interview.
Despite what you people might think, I don't even own a cell phone and wasn't able to establish communication from the area I was in via land lines, so I missed the appointment.
That said, I am confident that she made some use of the information I directed her to at my website, and thoroughly debunked the "chemtrails" hoax all by herself."

Chemtrails vs. CO2-Versenkung
Man kann mit gewohnheitsmäßigen Fakten, die bekanntlich nicht stimmen müssen, aber einfach hingenommen und akzeptiert werden immer wieder schön einen Fokus setzen, nicht zuletzt damit evtl. neue Forschungsgelder für Atmosphärenforschung aquirieren ??CO2 kann wenn zu Schwingungen angeregt, Energie aufnehmen ...
Verschwörungstheorie ist doch sowieso immer nur das Kästchen für die Ausrede, Klappe auf ---- Verschwörung rein ---- Klappe zu. Alles was darin ist, sind doch eh keine nur ansatzweise bedenkenswerten Dinge.
PS: Ich würde übrigens langsam statt des Begriffs "bewölkt" den Begriff "bestreift" verwenden. Assoziationen diesbezgl. sind natürlich frei erfunden.

Beschreibung eines Abendhimmels ....
...den begriff "bestreift" finde ich gut.... lustiger ist vielleicht noch die beschreibung des heutigen salzburger abendhimmels von meinem sohn simon (fast 6 jahre): wir fuhren auf der autobahn nach hause in der abenddämmerung und meine kinder spielten das alte spiel: phantasiebilder in den wolken, als simon plötzlich sagte: he schaut mal, da haben sie uns glatt einen adler gesprüht.....
